The hair is composed of both follicles and shafts. The follicle is the small sac containing your hair root as well as a high concentration of melanin. The hair root and its nutrient vessels are our targets with the OR-Light. Heated up for at least 1 millisecond at a temperature of approximately 65°, nutrient vessels will be disabled and the hair root will be destroyed, preventing new growth of the hair.
The hair growth cycle is divided into 3 phases:
* Anagen
* Catagen
* Telogen

Only during the Anagen phase are the bulb and shaft attached to the hair root, therefore only during the 1st phase are we able to destroy it. This, combined with your skin complexion, pigmentation, hair colour and thickness explains why several sessions are required to ensure we provide you with optimal results.
